Media Converters

Media Converters

Media converters are essential networking devices that used to convert a copper Ethernet signal to a fiber optic signal, or it can be used to convert an analog video signal to a digital signal. The main benefit of a ethernet to fiber media converter is that it allows different types of network devices to communicate with each other even if they use different types of media.Media converters can also be used to extend the range of a network beyond the distance limitations of a particular media type. For example, if a copper Ethernet network has a maximum range of 100 meters, a media converter can be used to convert the signal to a fiber optic signal, which can be transmitted over much longer distances
