VoIP Gateways

Gateway device connects two or more networks so that they can communicate with one another. It acts as a bridge between networks, translating data between the various protocols and formats used by each. Gateway devices can be used in a variety of situations, such as connecting a home network to the Internet, linking multiple branches of a business network together, or connecting different types of networks (such as wired and wireless networks). They can also provide additional security features, such as firewalls, to prevent unauthorized network access. Gateway devices may perform additional functions such as routing, filtering, and caching data in addition to translating data between networks.
